CBIN Undergraduate Summer Fellows
During the summer of 2007, twelve undergraduate students have been conducting research in the laboratories of CBIN scientists Brian Bothner, Trevor Douglas, Yves Idzerda, John Peters, Robert Szilagyi, and Mark Young. Many of these students have just completed their freshmen year and are getting into research labs now to get a taste of the reserach experience and the opportunity to develop and see to fruition an project while they are undergraduates. They have worked on a variety of research projects related to nanoscale protein architectures. The Fellows participated in regular research and training meetings and have the opportunity to continue their research during the academic year. See more Pictures from the Summer 2007.

Visiting Scholars
Students in the Center have the opportunity to interact with members of other scientific institutions through exchan ges and an Affiliates Program. Students at both institutions have the opportunity to interact through an exchange program between collaborator’s labs. In addition, we invite collaborating faculty members to visit and encourage them to use some of their “time-in-residence” to teach a mini course to the graduate students/post-docs. If successful this could be expanded to include participation of graduate students from all participating institutions and other Centers. During the summer of 2007, Dr. Gautum Basu from India Bose Institute spent time in Bozeman working with the students and faculty in CBIN.
